Drone Roof Cleaning Near You

Drone roof cleaning applies a cleaning solution and rinse from a tethered drone, so nobody has to walk the roof. Soar-n-Wash lists roof cleaning crews, including drone operators, in 31 city hubs. We are a directory: compare listings and contact crews directly.

How drone roof soft washing works

A pump on the ground feeds the drone through a tether. The pilot sprays a cleaning solution onto the roof at low pressure, lets it work on algae, moss, or grime, then rinses. Because the crew stays on the ground, there is less foot traffic on fragile roofing and less ladder work on steep or tall roofs.

Drone cleaning operators need FAA authorization; chemical spraying may fall under Part 137. Ask your operator for their certifications.

Roof types and why low pressure matters

HomeAdvisor's 2026 roof cleaning guide notes that porous clay tile can't take pressure washing and that wood roofs need a low-pressure wash, while metal can handle a controlled higher-pressure wash. Ask any crew which method they will use on your roof and why.

  • Clay and concrete tile: common in the Sun Belt hubs; ask about low-pressure methods.
  • Asphalt shingle: ask how the crew avoids lifting shingles or stripping granules.
  • Metal: tolerates more pressure, but runoff and plant protection still matter.
  • Wood shake: low pressure only.

When a drone helps, and its limits

  • Helps on steep pitches, two-plus story homes, and roofs that are easily damaged by walking.
  • Wind and rain can stop a flight, so expect weather reschedules.
  • Trees, power lines, and tight lots can limit where the drone can fly.
  • Heavy moss mats or debris may still need hands-on removal.
  • On a low, walkable roof, a traditional soft-wash crew may be just as practical.
